Develop the expertise to evaluate drone operations with confidence
At Drone Architect, we train the future experts responsible for assessing, validating, and authorising drone operations across Europe.
Together with a team of senior specialists in aviation law, drone technology, and operations, we deliver a comprehensive training programme of over 120 hours, carefully spread across several months to enable participants to absorb all knowledge at a suitable pace and immediately apply what they learn in their work.
Our programme is specifically built for professionals who must review, evaluate, and challenge complex drone operational authorisation applications – including Operations Manuals, Concepts of Operations (ConOps), Specific Operations Risk Assessments (SORA), and Predefined Risk Assessments (PDRA).
Who can join?
- New staff members at Civil Aviation Authorities (CAA)
- Compliance officers at drone manufacturers and resellers
- Regulatory experts in organisations dealing with drone technology integration
- (New) Safety and compliance officers in drone operator organisations, especially those that need to be LUC compliant

- See how technology relates to regulatory compliance through the form of acceptable Means of Compliance (MoCs).
Drone technology and operational capabilities:
- Learn how drones really work. Get to know the core components, technologies, and architectures behind modern drones.
- Understand safety features: Flight Termination Systems (FTS), Parachute Rescue Systems, Smart RTH, Remote ID, architecture redundancy and performance trade-offs.
Compliance documentation evaluation
- Build the ability to critically assess Operations Manuals, ConOps, and SORA/PDRA files for completeness and operational realism.
- Identify risks and gaps in applications before approval and provide constructive feedback.
- Work together with the applicant on how to improve their operations and documentation from a proportional risk-based point of view.
How we work
Led by experts across all domains
- Each module is taught by a senior expert in drone law, drone technology, or drone operations, ensuring total topic coverage.
- We are 100% vendor-neutral and maintain the highest standards of regulatory and operational integrity.
Gradual, applied learning model
- Our mission is to train critical evaluators – not to teach document writing from scratch, but to enable you to challenge and improve submitted applications.
- The training is spread across months, allowing you to grow expertise in parallel with your work, integrating theory and practice.
