With an eye on safety, cost reduction, and scalability, Future Services wanted to integrate drones into their inspection workflow &#8211; without replacing rope-access entirely. They turned to Drone Architect to design a practical, scalable and regulation-compliant solution that could quickly move from concept to operations. Future Services needed a clear operational balance between drone and rope-access to maximise efficiency.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>In short<\/strong>: Future Services needed an immediate, scalable solution that could safely augment &#8211; but not fully replace &#8211; their existing operations.<\/p>\n<\/div>            \n            \n                    <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n<section class=\"agency-section agency-section--bg-white agency-section--pad-both drone-image-text drone-image-text--center\">\n    <div class=\"container drone-image-text__grid\">\n                                <div class=\"drone-image-text__copy\">\n                                        <h2 class=\"drone-heading drone-heading--section\" data-acf-inline-contenteditable=\"1\" data-acf-inline-contenteditable-field-slug=\"title\" data-acf-placeholder=\"Type to edit...\" >Our approach<\/h2>\n                        <div class=\"drone-prose\" data-acf-inline-fields-uid=\"block_98d5c6c9b5019737c6e98914cb7a5c0ftext\" data-acf-inline-fields=\"[{&quot;fieldName&quot;:&quot;text&quot;,&quot;fieldIcon&quot;:null,&quot;fieldLabel&quot;:&quot;Tekst&quot;,&quot;useExpandedEditor&quot;:false,&quot;popoverMinWidth&quot;:&quot;600px&quot;}]\" role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\"><p>Drone Architect stepped in as a full drone integration partner, taking over the complete study, design and implementation planning.<\/p>\n<h3>1. <strong>Full feasibility analysis<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>We studied how drones could be used under realistic VLOS conditions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Onshore:<\/strong>\n<p>Tall industrial infrastructure inspections.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Offshore:<\/strong>\n<p>Ship-based drone operations inspecting wind turbine jackets, towers, and blades.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We mapped operational limits (wave height, wind speeds), flight profiles, inspection detail requirements, and regulatory constraints &#8211; aiming to stay in the Open Category A3 offshore and use a PDRA S-01 approach onshore.<\/p>\n<p>Given the client&#8217;s priorities, the offshore operations were addressed first. The necessary regulatory permit applications for onshore missions (under PDRA S-01) were mapped out, but will be formally submitted in a next project phase.<\/p>\n<h3>2. <strong>Workflow concept design<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Developed a full operational workflow from vessel-based take-off and landing, automated turbine inspections, to data processing and fault analysis.<\/li>\n<li>Ensured fast, practical integration into Future Services&#8217; existing inspection planning and client reporting workflows.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>3. <strong>Hardware and software market study<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>We compared drone platforms, payloads and inspection software from leading providers like DJI, SkyVisor, Aero Enterprise and Perceptual Robotics.
